Starting the new year off right and I’m determined to get you guys some more QUICK and EASY recipes!
Here is my spicy peanut kale sprouts with chicken sausage recipe (all ingredients from Trader Joes). It’s super simple, tasty, and most importantly….takes less than 10 minutes to make.
You will need:
-Fresh Spinach
-Trader Joe’s Kale Sprouts
-Trader Joe’s Chicken Sausage (pick your flavor)
Follow the directions for “microwave” instructions on the back of each package. Both will be warmed, cooked, and ready to eat after they come out of the microwave! However, this is where you make a micro meal into a gourmet meal. My “go to” tricks to make this happen are all about the seasonings and broiler!
Turn your broiler on high. Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and spray with coconut oil spray or olive oil spray. Slice 2 chicken sausages in small rounds. Spread the kale sprouts and chicken sausage flat onto cookie sheet. Spray coconut oil spray or olive oil spray over the top. Season (eyeball) with 21 seasoning salute, sea salt (a pinch), pepper, and Parmesan cheese. Pop into oven for 2 minutes. The broiler heat is VERY high. It is essentially crisping but could burn your entire meal. Keep an eye on it and wait until the edges of the kale sprouts and chicken sausage are golden brown. Should not exceed 3 minutes!
Let cool for 5 minutes out of oven. Line a plate with fresh spinach. Top spinach with broiled kale sprouts and chicken sausage. Drizzle (sparingly) Trader Joe’s spicy peanut vinaigrette dressing. BOOM! Under 10 minutes. Enjoy a delectable dinner that doesn’t taste like it was made in under 7 minutes.
More where this came from in the new year. Stay tuned for my quick and easy recipes on the blog!
